I think that LCD's have to come down in price before they start competing with plasmas. For the same size display, they cost more to manufacture.
SED is a great technology that I'm really looking forward to. Unfortunately, Toshiba will probably give it a premium price, limiting its market penetration. But I think SED will give the best picture quality out of all possible display types. (Just because it's so much like CRT.)
DLP I think is still overpriced relative to CRT RPTV sets of the same size.
