Sept. 18: What's on HDTV today
What we're watching: Football, football -- and Emmy awards. That's the HDTV line up for today. There are at least four football games in high-def: Jaguars at Colts (1 p.m.) and Browns at Packers (4:15 p.m.) on CBS, Lions at Bears (1 p.m.) on Fox, and Chiefs at Raiders (8:30 p.m.) on ESPN-HD. (Some of these may be regional for me; you may see another game on Fox, for example.) Ellen DeGeneres is hosting the Emmys at 8 p.m.Here are some other HDTV programs showing on selected networks today, all in Eastern time:
ABC: Pearl Harbor (7 p.m.)
CBS: NFL: Jaguars at Colts (1 p.m.), NFL: Browns at Packers (4:15 p.m.), The 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards (8 p.m.)
NBC: West Wing (8 p.m.), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (9 p.m.), Crossing Jordan (10 p.m.)
Fox: NFL: Lions at Bears (1 p.m.), War at Home (8:30 p.m.)
ESPN-HD: NFL Primetime (7:30 p.m.), NFL: Chiefs at Raiders (8:30 p.m.), SportsCenter (11:30 p.m.)
ESPN 2-HD: NHRA (4 p.m.), Baseball Tonight (7 p.m.), MLB: Phillies at Marlins (8 p.m.)

Is it just me or are the CBS games NOT in high def?
It is a good thing that my FOX is not in HD so I didn't have to watch how bad Joey Harrington really is.
CBS only does 3 games per week in HD, Jags vs. Colts was not one of them this week. Fox does 6 games per week but they only had 5 today because the Saints game was moved to tomorrow. Selections are determined as the season progresses.

The browns/packers game didn't start out in high def either, but then when I switched back later it was in HD.
Thank god for the programs. Now i won't have to fight at home for the remote. My whole family can watch the Emmy awards together. Thank you
