Sept. 21: What's on HDTV today
What we're watching: I'm not sure I'm going to make it through fall premiere week...too much HDTV....must get sleep....OK, there are 13 hours of network prime time HDTV tonight, which makes 40 hours this week so far for you geeky, metric types. Ok, Ok; I'm one of them too or I wouldn't have added it up! By the way: I knew Barb wouldn't like "My Name is Earl" last night (see yesterday's post), but I did manage to watch half of it. Quirky and funny.
After the jump is my personal lineup followed by our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night. Since it continues to be such a big week for HDTV, drop us a comment and let us know what you're watching!
My planned lineup:
- "Destination Lost" at 8:00 p.m. on ABC (720p). We missed most of "Lost" last year, so this will catch us up.
- "Yes,
Dear" at 8:30 p.m. on CBS (1080i). Ok, we're "Lost" again so I
switched. Plus, I want to see golf commentator David Feherty on a
sit-com since he's just SO FUNNY when I play Tiger Woods Golf 2005 on my XBox. Not.
- "E-Ring"
at 9:00 p.m. on NBC (1080i). Barb and I could use a good replacement
for "24" with intrigue and action. This looks awesome even if it's not
real-time like "24."
- "Invasion" at 10:00 p.m. on ABC
(720p). I'll probably be watching this one alone after the first ten
minutes and it doesn't sound like a ground breaking plot. Hey, how
often can you see an alien in high-def?
ABC: Destination Lost (8:00 p.m.), Lost (9:00 p.m), Invasion (10:00 p.m.)
CBS: Still Standing (8:00 p.m.), Yes, Dear (8:30 p.m.), CSI (9:00 p.m.). The Late Show with David Letterman (11:35 p.m.)
NBC: E-Ring (9 p.m.), Law & Order (10 p.m.), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (11:35 p.m.), Conan O'Brien (12:37 p.m.)
Fox: Head Cases (9 p.m.)
WB: One Tree Hill (8 p.m.), Just Legal (9 p.m.)

Dude, I have one word for ya: LOST.
LOST
thats it nothing else
Don't even bother watching E-Ring it will be cancelled in 3 weeks due to the Lost juggernaut. Its just that good.
I'm watching Lost tonight, but not in HD. I live in Mpls. and for some reason there is no HD ABC station on Comcast.
LOST
Was E-Ring really in HD? It didn't look all that sharp to me (as I was watching during LOST commercials, of course).
Between football and LOST, ya got your two killer apps for HD, doncha think?
