Why go to the theater for SHD?

Ok. There is a good chance that you have not heard of Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corporation, but they are one of three biggest LCD suppliers. Even if you cannot say their name, you have got to give them props for what they have done. You know that SHD 4K we talked about earlier today, well, this TV can display it. That's right 3840x2160 with an amazing 8.29 million pixels, 4 times the amount in a normal HD 1920x1080. Plus, they demonstrated the technology in a big way, kind of like Toshiba with SED, by putting that great resolution in a 56" LCD panel.
Simply Amazing.
Hmmm...I seem to have made a mess in my pants after seeing that. It's unfortunate that I seem to have contracted a severe case of gadget envy...sigh
(p.s. any updates on SED? Prob. a stupid question - you guys would have posted anything you all found...but on the off chance that I missed something, i thought I would ask).
Also, what's this star about after the name of a poster? Sorry for the twenty questions.
