I'm starting to get tired of this already! Blu-ray or hd-dvd? Before Christmas or after Christmas? While it would be nice to see Sony and Toshiba come to some sort of agreement, am I the only person that would like to see Toshiba as the last man standing? Sony does everything in a proprietary manner! I mean, look at their MP3 players...They tweak their units with a particular codec that makes it difficult for the end user to use the thing! From what I understand, their Playstation 3 hs been getting lotsa flack from the developers because once again, Sony has made things difficult! When it's all said and done, what's not to like about HD-DVD:
1. Disc capacity has approached Blu-ray levels...
2. Backwards compatible units
3. Discs are easier to manufacture, keeping the end user price lower than Blu-Ray
4. Microsoft and Intel are backing 'em...
At the end of the day, I can't find any reasons why Toshiba shouldn't win this fight!

“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
