How well connected are you?
Are
you the type of person who spent as much on your connectors as you did on your
TV? Or is your DVD player outputting that 1080i signal via a wire
hanger and some alligator clips?Maybe you're really serious about your connections and sent your cables to these guys AND these guys.
I've never been a Monster cable devotee because I've never noticed a difference, and with DVI and HDMI, why worry?

HDMI or DVI?? Which has a better video quality.
HDMI and DVI are both digital connections. The picture quality is the same. The difference is that HDMI carries an audio signal as well. I know so many people rave about the fact that HDMI/DVI is a big improvement over the old component video analog connection. The fact is, I don't buy into the hype! I have tried connections with different levels of components and t.v's. Very rarely, was a difference even noticeable! As an example, I use a Denon DVD-5900 with a DVI out to my t.v. I think the picture is a bit sharper as opposed to the component connections. When I say a bit, I mean a bit...With my Scientific Atlanta hd-8300 DVR, I can't see a difference at all...
This was posted in the comments of that link you have up there and the article is actually very informative and debunks the theory of these high priced SUPER cables. Basically what it seems to say is that a cable by another other brand name is still the SAME CABLE!

The funniest part is how they noted the monster HDMI cable's extra weight actally caused it to pull away from the TV, making the picture go out.
They are called MONSTER Cables for a reason Rich!!! They are HUGE...and take a BIG BITE out of your wallet!
