I have a westy 1080p LCD hd monitor. and it has DCDi by Faroudja. so i was taking for gratned how incredibly great that firmware is ( especially when it is tuned for the 1080 native res buffer of the monitor) ... until i saw a 720p game on a 1080i that didnt have it. was all wrong.. i was shocked. then i saw a 1080i program on a 1368 (720p hd ready whatever ) some crystal scan whatever i think, and it looked so pathetic for bad downsampling that i was sure the signal was botched until i checked it through a true 1080, and of course it was perfect.
so basically IMHO especially in LCD stuff, you want DCDi handling updown. no doubt. Faroudja. still the best.
