Star Wars III point V in high def
So
if you're wondering what happens to Luke and Leia during their early,
formative years, looks like you'll get your chance. Producer Rick McCallum
previously announced a few additional Star Wars projects; no, no: don't
get your lightsaber out of the closet just yet. We're not talking about
movies here, we're talking about some television features. One project will be an animated series, but the other will be live-action. Better yet, that one will be in high-definition! No need to upconvert your Star Wars DVDs to count the grains of sand outside of Mos Eisley, just hold off until the new live-action programs hit the high-def airwaves! These programs are expected to bridge a little of the gap between Episodes III and IV; hence my dubbing them "III point V." May the 1080p be with you my young padawan learners!

Awesome, maybe they could also get a new director, screen writer, and maybe even new actors. Matter of fact, they should just make a new movie in HD that isn't in any way related to star wars.
George Lucas is a 1-trick-pony with a bum leg. If you guys keep feeding it, it's never going to die.
Sweet. I can't wait to see this on TV. Any word on which networks might be looking at carring the shows? I bet Cartoon Network has the Animated series. Please let it be CN.
George? ...um, I'm sorry to interupt but um... Excuse me sir I just... um... yes, I'll hold.
...Hi. Thank you for seeing me. My name is... No, that's ok. I understand you are busy. Thank you. Yes. I just wanted to... Of course, yes. I'll wait.
Hmm? Yes, thank you. I'm going to have to do an intervention. Please, if you could just watch this little film I've brought with me. Maybe you've heard of it. It's called "The Ewok Adventure" I was hoping you might snap the f••k out of your trance and realize YOU ARE DONE with the series.
...yeah, I am truely appreciative with everything* that you have done for mankind, but just wanted you to know that we think you've done enough for us on the starwars front. The only way I will step down from my opinion is if your show features one character only. That character being Jar-Jar Banks.***
Thank you for your time,
Handyyz
* See forementioned title.

Ewok Adventure???? Make him watch the Star Wars Christmas Special (Ooops, I mean “Life Day”) with the animated portions removed. I made it all the way up to the group singing before losing it. Now they let me use the computer if I take my meds.
You have been warned.
This strikes me as VERY stale news, except the note that it will be shot in HD. Knowing Lucas' fondness for the format I think we could've guessed that though.
A 'Early days of rebellion' movie was badly neccessary. I expect they shoot this tv series perfectly.
