CBS reveals Victoria's Secret show in high-def!

Oh, the high-def gods have smiled upon us! I don't know if CBS read our sad post last week regarding the lack of an HD broadcast for the Victoria's Secret Fashion show, but it's a go! We just validated the news with the CBS on-line schedule as well as some of our other sources and the listings are now updated.I actually first noticed this update when scanning the electronic programming guide in the new Windows Media Center Edition computer; before you even ask: yes, I set it to record the show in high-def. Hope network forces affiliates to pass it through in HD though.
Last nights new episode of Las Vegas at 9 was not in HD obviously because in the show the hotel casino was having a porn convention. I say obviously because the Las Vegas rerun at 8 and Medium at 10 were in HD.
See, I'm in Virginia Beach, VA and good ol' Pat Robertson and the idiots at CBN (700 Club) are right down the street.
Right now, the CBS schedule you linked to is reporting that it won't be in HD.
I wonder why checkhd.com doesn't show it as HD.
I guess you will just have to see if it is actually in HD.
Hmm...looks like a case of on-again, off-again (the show, not the lingerie!) Looks like we'll know at 10:01pm!
Looks like we're back to "off-again." Right now CBS is showing it as SD on their schedule (it's the same color as the Amazing Race).
Regardless of SD vs. HD, the CBS station in Houston, KHOU, is not showing it tonight. Instead we get "In the Spotlight (Hosted by Deborah Duncan)".
And I was all set to record it in beautiful HD.

I feel vindicated! The CBS affiliate here in Philly has it in 1080i and it's getting recorded by the Windows Media Center as we speak! :) I'm so glad I checked the WMCE program guide this morning!
Well, indeed, it showed in the Phoenix area (channel 5.1) in 1080i w/ 5.1 digital sound -- even though the CBS site, the CBS channel 5 site, and the Check HD site all reported that it would NOT be in HD. But, it was quality. :)
CBS 2.1 had it in HD here in the Los Angeles area. Neither TitanTV nor CBS.com nor the local affiliate site had the schedule listed as HD.
Perhaps it was a "secret." ;)
