I've always been able to receive HD locals on 81, 83, 87 and 89. But I've talked to DirecTV a few times and they say I shouldn't be receiving the channels because I live in an area (Northridge, Los Angeles, California) that has over the air high definition. I even had someone else out to take a look at some problems I was having and he told me I couldn't receive HD, even though I was walking a college football game in HD on ABC 87 on my 61" TV. If you've ever watched football on a 61" TV, its REALLY easy to tell the difference between HD and SD. So what gives? Are they wrong or am I? Also, I don't need to do anything with my system to receive the new channels, right? I have the HD Tivo and don't want them to take it from me!

Roger

Comments on Local Channels in MPEG-4 HD on DirecTV starting today for New York and LA

"Subscribers who already get their local channels in HD via MPEG-2 equipment don't worry, nothing has changed (yet) for you."

Richard Lawler

Comments on Local Channels in MPEG-4 HD on DirecTV starting today for New York and LA

So is anyone recieving these feeds?
