Dish Network just hit 12 million customers

Excuse me.
Everyone. Everyone.Please raise your glasses for Dish Network. They have worked long and hard to reach this point. From hitting one million customers way back in 1997 they just hit 13 million back in December of 2005. It is a wonderful achievement that needs to be recognized. Dish Network offers over 500 digital stations and when you add in Voom Networks, the most HD available anywhere. Congrats Dish Network and keep up the good work!

Yeah, that's great and all. It's just too bad those swank Dish HD boxes don't come at any sort of discount for existing users looking to upgrade. Most new customers can get the HD dual-tuner DVR free, but if you already have the service and want to make the move to HD (like I do), it'll cost several hundred dollars.
Big deal...Had to dump Dish recently after moving to a new apt that didn't allow a dish - Dish screwed up my profile and now wants my 811 box back which I had to pay $450 for 3 months into my contract because their system still shows it as leased.
If they don't back off, I may have to take legal action.
