I've barely been able to sleep at night as visions of Vince Young, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinhart danced through my head and finally the day is here. I'm leaning towards Texas in an upset because I think they have a better defense than USC has seen so far. But if Reggie Bush and Matt Leinhart (and Lendale White) are half as good as they have seemed all season, it's really impossible to call.

There is nothing else worth watching tonight, the two best teams are playing, be there and in HD.

I watched the game in Austin last night and it was one of the best games I've ever seen. The HD OTA signal wasn't the best though. The sound was not surround and the picture would get heavy macroblocking when the titles and graphics whooshed by on screen. Also strange was that my TV said the signal was 1080i but I thought ABC was usually 720p. Did anyone else notice this?

That was quite possibly the best game ever, definitely the game of the year. I've been a huge Vince Young fan ever since he abused my wolverines in the rose bowl a year ago, but all the great player played great.



The HD signal was good through Comcast here, it was coming through at 720p, but I think the cable box converts anyway so it's hard to say.

I saw the macroblocking on titles on my Comcast DVR. ABC has about the worst HD broadcast of the main networks imo. Dolby 5.1 worked came through too. Still a ton better than analog!

Is this "What's On HDTV Today" going to be expanded to cover other countries?



With HD launching in the UK soon I'd be interested, and I know there's quite a few people from the UK that check this page every day
