NFL Network moving to Prime time.
We love our NFL
football here at HDBeat, so much that we watch NFL Game of the
Week in HD every week on the NFL network. Well, those of us that
are blessed with the network. Sorry Time Warner and Charter cable customers.Currently the NFL Game of the Week is the only HD show from the NFL network. Now that the NFL has decided to move to prime time, starting in 2006 they will show 8 NFL prime time games. I assume that these games will be presented in our favorite format. Previously there were talks with Comcast to have the games on OLN, but the NFL gave them the slip. So it's time to call your provider to ensure that you can watch the first game on Thanksgiving night, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. Which of course means I won't be able to enjoy the game in HD since my parents don't have an HDTV. Doh!

here in PA on Comcast we will recieve the NFL Network games on INHD.The same way as the NBA Network and OLN's hockey games that are in HD we get some of those on INHD aswell. Also 3 MLB On INHD games per week.
I'm just guessing here, but is DirecTV not planning to add NFL Network to its High Definition package? I'm still waiting for TNT-HD and hoping for The Golf Channel (HD.)
Any predictions, Ben?

The NFL network is on channel 212 on DIRECTV. The HD programming is one of the DIRECTV special events channels. Which are channels 94 through channel 101.
6 Days to Sunday was also HD on a few occasions. As far as Directv.. last year they were spot on with Game of the Week in HD.. this year it was a crap shoot, and more often then not, they did not show it in HD.. Thanks for the love Directv!
I have Comcast in Charleston, SC and we have the NFL channel. I'm at work and don't remember the exact channel number, but it is on the digital size. BUT, it isn't in HD. Maybe I should call my local Comcast office to find out why. We do have the others, ABC, NBC, CBS, INHD, INHD2, ESPN, PBS, TNT, and the HBOs, Showtimes, etc.
