Wow, if this Verizon
FiOS thing keeps expanding quickly, we're going to need a giant Risk board
or wicked-cool Google mash-up map to keep track of the locations. Last week Verizon announced
service expansions North in New York and
Massachusetts; today they're soaking up the sun in Florida. Over 2,400 lucky households in Manatee County will get
their DTV over fiber today and Verizon is now authorized to provide the service for an additional 735,000 residents in
Hillsborough County. Verizon is touting over 20 HD channels in a FiOS package, which is just a shade less than
DISH's new HD packages announced yesterday.
Wow Kevin, you scooped me on my own County!
Too bad I don't have FIOS at my condo. At this point Verizon is only offering it for people who live in houses.
