Those artifacts are my fault. I didn't do a test recording before we started and my setup was causing static, which it does from time to time. We didn't want to record the entire thing over again, so I used Audacity's noise removal, which removes the static but also causes digital noise artifacts.
I will check it from now on and we are trying to get it worked out so we don't have to use Skype to record, which will make Kevin's voice as good as mine.
