Porn in HD: The IPTV killer app?
Now, it's not that our ears perk up every time someone mentions
adult entertainment
in high definition, oh wait, yeah they do. That said, Wired recently had an interesting piece on a company that is
delivering streaming HD over your high speed internet link (it'll still take about two hours to download a movie at
high def resolutions). The most interesting part of the article (yeah right) focuses on how such systems bypass the whole Blu-ray/HD-DVD squabble in getting content directly to your HDTV with no middleman. The imediasee platform they are using is intended for use with PC's and compatible set top boxes, and their content is already formatted for viewing on televisions. If digital delivery takes off, it may not matter what DVD format content providers choose, only how much hard drive space do you have.

That wired article was published 02:00 AM Mar, 03, 2006 EST in which I read it on that day. I am finding that HD Beat repost alot of information written by others.
I guess I was hoping this site to actually go out and report on their own news.
I'm taking the RSS off my homepage now as there really isnt anything new that HD Beat post about.
Joey,
Sorry to see you go but we are not a news site per se. We are a blog, think of it as an editorial on the news. A single place you can go to keep up on the HD news and get our perspective on the news.
It is true that we sometimes break stories and write original articles, but mostly we just editorialize the news.
I cannot imagine anything worse than HD Porn. Women generally look better with a softer focus. I learned this as a young man - some girls looked nicer when I took off my glasses. :-)
HD Pimples in all the wrong places? No thanks.
The Imediasee application works very well. It doesn't have to stream HD Porn but any HD program.
I have subscribed to Entice.tv which is currently providing iptv through HTPC and its works.
Pricing is a little strange and the video seem not 100% 720p or 1080i. But download is pretty fast.
