VOOM HD creates new channel exclusively for gamers
The reborn Voom HD
has launched a channel specifically for gamers, "GamePlay
HD". The channel actually started broadcasting on February 1st, with some content from their new partner CNET
(& GameSpot). They also plan to provide coverage of tournaments like the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational Tournament
in Seoul and the Guild Wars Championship, both in April. Two GameSpot produced news segments, GameSpotting and The Art
of Play, are also part of the scheduled programming.GamePlay HD can be found on DISH channel 9485, any HD Beat readers check it out yet?

I have seen it. Its ok, not much there, just a loop of differnt gameplay. They need to so show HD game trailers, movie trailers look awesome in HD.
Yes, I guess if you are a male between the ages of 12-20, the channel is probably great. Otherwise, it is yet another worthless channel that Dish is offering in the HD package.....Rave, and Equator are about the only decent channels to watch.....Unless of course I want to sit and watch art.....or bad Kung Fu movies, or etc.....etc....etc...
I'm 58 and I thought this channel was going to be for the young but I have found it addictive to watch sometimes. I am not into computer games but some of the competition is interesting. As for the rest of the Voom channels I find 8 of the 15 very good 75 % of the time. Rave of course being the best but Fim Fest, Monster and World Cinema get good grades from me. Equator, Treasure and Ultr all have good programing and good HD. NEWHD is great to compare true HD content with what you get from the HD network news Channels.
You know, when voom came out I thought, man this is great! The channels were very clear. But now I subcribe to Dish and for some reason, it seems that most of the HD channels get pixilated, which blows. But I still have the Voom channels, they should have never sold. And they should really consider getting REAL Anime on one of there channels, all I've seen was Samuri 7, thats it!!! Get on the ball people and start calling in or at least e-mail them, by the way I'm 48.
