HDBeat Podcast 010 - 04.25.06
The HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray battle rages and on and the HD Beat Podcast isn't any different. I get a little taste of my own medicine this week as Matt and Kevin team up on me. My superior arguments for Blu-Ray domination are too much for them and they have to concede defeat. Ok not really but listen for yourself and let us know who's right. HD-DVD isn't all we had on HD Beat this week, so we explain resolution technologies a little further. Kevin says his farewells to the Podcast and the blog, we will all miss him and wish the best for him on his future endeavors.Get the podcast

Just a note: the update on the Blu-ray player was the rescheduled date (from July to mid-august), the first time it was up for pre-order was before Samsung delayed their player.
I think they also added some things to the feature list, but I can't be sure.
We'll miss you Kevin. Good Luck in whatever you pursue.
Hate to hear you're leaving Kevin, thanks for the podcasts they've helped keep me keep busy in my mornin drives, at least on tuesdays anyway :P
If Blu-ray has released 99 movies in six months, but a HD DVD has 49, won't people be inclined to buy the cheaper player? At what point I thnink it may cease to matter who has more content. Maybe it will come down to which consortium can deliver a steady stream of players at a price that people will pay.
David,
It isn't neccesarily the actual number of titles, but the quality of titles for a particular consumer. On the other hand the more titles there are the better chance there is that there will be that killer title that will sway them to buy a player.
