HDTV Scrubs on NBC?
That's the rumor, I didn't get a chance to see tonights season finale but for those of you who did, was anything different? A couple of HD Beat readers caught it and saw it was in HD. If you don't already know, Scrubs has been one the shows I most want to see in high definition, so I certainly hope they aren't playing with my emotions.
Taking a look at the NBC website, the aptly named "My Transition" episode is marked as an HDTV broadcast. Hopefully this means a full sixth season of 1080i goodness, check TV Squad's interview with cast member John C. McGinley for more info about Scrubs behind the scenes.
Thanks Rick for the shot of widescreen Scrubs from his HDTV and camera phone!

Ooh yes, it is true.
My favorite show in HD goodness. It was almost too good to be true!! Let's just hope NBC extends the contract, since it is now expired. And wow, Dr. Cox's wife Jordan REALLY looks like The Joker in high-def! Chillllllll with the botox lady!
It was a little weird, actually, because the episode right before it wasn't in HD. Also, why move the show into HD on the last episode of the season? Seems strange. But whatever. They did it, and hopefully season 6 will be all HD.
I instantly thought to come post here last night when it came on. I'm so glad I was paying attention at the start. Like the previous poster, I watched the first one, then when the second came up I saw the little "NBC HD where available" and about knocked my wife over grabbing the remote from her.
The reason for doing it on the last episode is a little tease for next season, which will be in HD I'm sure. It's about time Scrubs!
I've been DVRing Scrubs on the HD channel for NBC and wondered why it was never actually in HD. When the show started last night and jumped from 4:3 to 16:9 I was so pumped! I agree with the other posts...it's about time.
I got screwed it seems i still saw the SD version :(
Glad I wasn't hallucinating. Taped it on the DVR, and when I saw it, like the other poster, I mentioned it to my wife. Nice surprise. I'm not sure if any show I watch anymore with any regularity is in SD. Though I'd like to see more channels in my market go HD, they surprise me from time to time and add another.
