Warner announces two more HD DVD titles
Warner won't stop, can't stop announcing HD DVD titles and this week they add two more classics to their lineup. Unfortunately neither The Fugitive or Blazing Saddles are new releases, but at one time they were a hot item. This does mark the first comedy for HD DVD, Rumor Has It... isn't a comedy is it? Either way a classic comedy is welcomed to the party.
The interesting part is that these two movies are to be released on May 23rd, which once again is only a few days lead time. This is beginning to be the norm for HD DVD. This doesn't give us much time to look forward to titles, but it does give us hope that our favorite movies are just around the corner.

"Rumor Has It" is definitely a comedy. It could be considered a "romantic comedy", but it doesn't fit that genre very well because it is not about two people who spend the entire film trying to get togethor. It has some drama in it which works well because so did "the Graduate", which this is sort of a sequal to.
I think we know who to notify when Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias, Ya-Ya Sisterhood etc. hits a next-gen disc format.
Fried green tomatoes is on a next gen disc format? where!?!?!?!!?!?!?
ehh, first format with league of their own, beaches and working girl gets my cash.
