Adult high-def content hits Japan via VOD

High definition is a big hit over in Japan. We all know that. But soon all those digital boxes over there will be able to receive, via video-on-demand, porn. Oh and it is going to be high-def adult content that will be delivered right to their HDTVs. This service is set to go live in July and will offer its customers 1080i picture with 5.1 audio all for the low, low price of 400 yen. ($3.5)
So um, would anyone like this service over in the States? Come on, be honest.
Yeah that works when you can get a 30mbps connection for like $29.95 and it can be sustained throughout the country.
Here though, I pay $65 for 15mbps and it only is at that speed on the east coast, with west coast sites I can only sustain 4mbps due to cox communications hookup to a crappy backbone for the trip across the country.
The current IPTV adult box available, XTV, from ITVN networks, has three settings, with 768kbps being the highest. Sometimes, with even these low speeds I have to set it down to 500kbps to sustain a stream without "buffering" every minute or so. (Only sometimes though, my connection has gotten better latency wise - which seems to be the real problem)
As long as I don't have to watch Japanese porn. Although it is quite hilarious, I don't want to see it in more detail... if at all.

I love HD content as much as the next guy - but hell if I want to see some dude's hairy crack in high def, under any circumstances.
wonder if all the Hentai stuff are shown in HD too, monster tenacles and naked screaming asian school girls in 1080i.
It would be interesting to know, if they pixelation they place over the most 'involved' body parts are being are going to be more high-res too ;-)
But I'd rather watch some Japanese stuff in HD than some of the Ameriacan Starlets with all them scars from their latest 'improvements.'
Dude, I don't need to see fake lips/fun bags in 1080p. I'll take my DivX quality video from Limewire thank you much.
The amusing part is that they pixelate anything of interest that those in the West would be interested in. I wonder why it is limited to VOD and not subscription-based channel service. Is that not a desired market-service in Japan?
honestly I would have to say that HD porn is one of the things Ive looked forward to most with the advent of HD
HD Adult content is amazing quality and our surfers love it. Take a little bit longer to download but well worth it.
