Dish Network adding four national HD channels [update]

What started as a rumor a few weeks back, sure looks like it is going to turn out to be true. Dish Network has updated their DishHD channel line-up to include the four stations in question: Home & Garden HD, National Geographic HD, NFL HD and Starz HD. These four stations will bring Dish Networks high-def national line-up to 32 station. Plus, if you add in the markets that have local HD station, a subscriber has the potential to receive close to 40 high-def stations! For $50 bucks a month too. Not to shabby if you ask us.

Has anyone noticed these stations live yet?

I have DirecTV and if they don't stop dragging their a$$es, I will jump ship.

We have had DirecTV since it first came out (thats a long time).

I justed signed up with the platinum hd. I am already paying 155 with internet with charter for 6 hd channels and 2 being a preimum with showtime and hbo. I only have 5 local hd channels which gives me a total of 12.

What a pleasant suprise to find four new channels when I get home from work. Had Starz HD when I had cable so it's nice to get it back. NFLHD will be nice later. Wifey digs the HGHD. Very happy with Dish to this point.

I just finished watching dog whisperer in hd. I'm also quite please to get star's back, I just went through my new channels and setup a bunch of things to record.

Yes, They are all Live and Coming in Crystal Clear!! I got tired of waiting on DirecTV and switched to Dish about 2 mos ago for the HD Programming, man I sure am glad! It was a pleasant surprise to come home to 4 new channels! Way to Go Dish Network!

I am thinking of switching to dish. But scared to leave the comfort of directv and Tivo. but this XM music is for the birds and I love Sirius and all of the "useable" HD options at Dish. Sure will miss my DIY though.

I've had this package for 2 months now. 4 more channels is just great! Wifey digs the HGTV and I only find myself watching HD channels. Charter has KTLA 5 and Adelphia has KCOP 13 in HD. I hope we get those soon!
