Remember the days when you could get a graduate a leather briefcase or a watch?
(we don't but are sure there was once a time like that) These days the kids want
a flat-screen TV. 31% of the polled graduates wanted a flat-screen TV rather then anything else, including a new computer. But should they get a flat-screen because they earned their diploma?
Sure, why not. They probably already have a computer, cell phone, digital camera, and PDA. What else are you going to get 'em. Oh, just make sure the flat-screen has a
Kensington Security Slot so the TV doesn't grow legs and walk out of the dorm room.
"Oh, just make sure the flat-screen has a Kensington Security Slot so the TV doesn't grow legs and walk out of the dorm room."
Uh, if the kid just graduated, why would the TV walking out of the dorm room they'll no longer be living in be of any concern?
Rob - There are high school graduations too...
The article says that 31% of graduates would want a TV "of any type" with 22% preferring "flat-panel TVs (either LCD or plasma)".
Also please don't add to the confusion between flat-panel and flat-screen. You can have a flat-screen TV that is not a flat-panel.
