INHD introduces MOJO TV lineup for adventurous men

INHD is rolling out a new programming block Mojo, a lot like Cartoon Network's Adult Swim albeit aimed at "men who live accomplished and adventurous lives". Apparently if you are one, you'll just know. Basically, they are targeting the early adopter demographic they feel is the most likely to own an HDTV with what they think they we want to watch. Several of the shows kick off June 18, with a few more to follow later, all will air primarily on Sundays and Wednesdays during prime time.
The list:

• Three Sheets: Travel series focused on exploring local drinking customs
• Beer Nutz: Follows up Three Sheetz, same thing but focused on beer and beer making
• After Hours with Daniel Foodies: Inside look at some of New York's top chefs and restaurants
• Decades: Older artists performing their hits accompanied by younger musicians, Lynyrd Skynyrd with Three Doors Down for example
• London Live!: UK artists perform live
  
• The Vegas Open: National Poker League events, kicks off July 2
• Doctor Danger: Travel series focused on dangerous situations
• Fueled: Behind the scenes of prepping the Pontiac GTO for the 24 Hours of Daytona
• Technical Difficulties: Reality-show scavenger hunt with high tech devices
• Wall Street Warriors: Behind the scenes with people who work on Wall Street
  

Interesting mix of programming, should help with the summer doldrums and it should help clear the "Tour de Gorge is on every night" complaints we've been hearing. They'll have to be pretty good on a Sunday to get me to flip over from The 4400 or Entourage.

I don't quite fit the spec of "normal" male (i.e. masculine type) but I think HDNet's guys night in would be better... if I was into that.

Well Im glad they are adding some programming. "Doctor Danger", and "Technical Difficulties" look kind of interesting. I will give them a look.

The block, "MOJO", is slated to launch June 18 on INHD and run Sundays and Wednesdays from 9 p.m. to midnight.

There are rumors that INHD2 may be going dark at the end of next month. Having this Mojo run full time way be what they may end up doing.

I sure hope that they move the concert stuff to INHD if INHD2 is discontinued. So far INHD2 has been my MTV with a repeats of the Pixies, Isle of Wight(the Roxy Music one has a lot of good groups), Sarah McLachlan, Oasis, Lynrd Skynrd(Freebird, i know , i know , overplayed, but you gotta watch the performance in HD and the band seemed to be rejuvenated in this taping).


I won't miss the terrible quality of the movies though. The transfers of the 70s and 80s movies suck.

mojo is a refreshing change for me. I usualy don't comment or post but I am very pleased with what I am seeing as alternative programming to what is seen on the major networks. INHD is doinga great job and MOJO is also. CUDO's and I hope your network can continue to provide this interesting alternative.

Actually Three Sheets is quite good! I watched a couple episodes and it's pretty good. The host is funny, the places he goes to would be places if i was traveling would like to visit.

I watched "After Hours with Daniel Foodies" last night and thought it was one of the best things I've seen on television EVER. New York chefs, pastry chefs, food critics and other interesting people sitting around a big table back in the restaurant kitchen eating, commenting on food, telling funny stories about the restaurant business. It was very cool. Not something that necessarily benefits from HD, but cool all the same. I hope it doesn't go away.

Here's hoping that INHD2 continues to provide cutting edge music events and programming. I like the London Live concept. Decent bands playing in a smaller environment (club like) in hi def quality and sound. I'd like to see it expand to a variety of events / live shows. You could film great festivals like the International Pop Overthrow Festival, or Sparklefest, or the Dewey Beach Pop festival. Tons of very very good indie pop bands that could use the exposure.
I'd also recommend that you get in touch with Paul Shaffer of the Letterman show band, and inquire as to licensing the Mike Smith Benefit Concert held last year at BB Kings in New York. This concert was filmed for DVD release (not released yet) and featured the Zombies, Peter and Gordon (first time together in 35 years), Billy J Kramer, Denny Laine, and the FAb Faux. All proceeds benefit Mike Smith (formerly of the Dave Clark Five) and his medical expenses after a tragic accident that has left him in a wheelchair and hospitalized indefeinitely.
