Chicago Comcast subscribers getting new high-def stations?

Rob H. just dropped us a note indicating that he is now getting MHD (MTV's high-def station) and ESPN2HD on Comcast. He lives in the Chicago area so we are wondering, did anyone else just get these station too? Rob indicated that the programming guide doesn't seem to be totally downloaded so if you are running through your guide, you might want to look out for "Promotional Programming." Now we are hoping that the word "promotional" does not mean that this is just a tease. We hate it when Comcast does that.
So everyone check out their Comcast line-up once again and look for MHD. Most of you should have ESPN2HD by now but if not you may want to check for it too.
[thanks for the tip Rob]

Wish I had comcast. Time Warner needs to get some more HD stations. It sucked not being able to watch the world cup games in hd on espn2.
For all the Chicago people out there it seems channel 203 is ESPN2HD and 209 is MTVHD. I can't wait to go home and check it out, but honestly I could have thought of a bunch of channels I would rather have instead of MTVHD. National Geographic HD, History HD, Universal HD, etc. But I'm cool with it. The more HD the better.
Universal HD is a HUGE letdown...don't be so said you don't have it. It is argubly has the worst quality of not only content, but picture feed. YUCK.
Comcast has MTVHD UniversalHD INHD1 INHD2 in Boston
I've been watching channel 203 ESPN2 for a couple of weeks. I didn't even know it was new!
Comcast added ESPN2HD a few weeks ago when the World Cup started.
Comcast added MTVHD and TNT HD last week in central Connecticut. They also added NESN HD, which is a regional sports station.
In seattle, they took out universal hd (inhd 2) and replaced it with ESPNHD2. Now where is National Geographic HD??? Its been out for months. HGTV HD has been out too, And FOOD HD is coming out tomorrow. Im sorry, but comcast has the worse support for number of HD channels.
I wish I could go to a simple web site and see when any cable company (mainly Cox Communications) are planning on carrying more HD channels. I can't get enough HD content and I am now extremely envious of Dishnetwork HD customers. I want that kind of HD variety on cable.
Still nothing new in Dallas.
Comcast added ESPN2HD in the Denver area last week. Still no TNT or MHD.
yeah still nothing new at all in Dallas...
I wrote Comcast an email asking them why they didn't roll out ESPN2HD in southern California when everyone else got it. I got a snailmail reply from them that stated "as you may know" most of Comcast in Southern California is becoming a part Time Warner by the end of the year, so they don't plan to rollout any new channels. Nice, huh? Essentially they have shut the door and turned off the lights and left a skeleton crew to watch over us until we become Time Warner customers. I am switching to DISH today - 26 HD channels here I come...NFLHD...HGTVHD...UHD...National Geographic HD...ESPN2HD.....the list goes on...it is going to be great!
Here in the Bay Area we don't have MTVHD yet... Having said that we do have 2, yes 2 ESPN2HD's. Great use of the bandwidth comcast!
here in the philly/south jersey/cherry hill twp. area, we had ESPN2HD for a while (check out a blog posts of mine from about a month ago or something saying we got ESPN2HD) but we just got UHD on like, monday. Still no MHD yet, but INHD is now calling itself mojo or something totally stupid (even though the program guide still says INHD)
No MHD in the DC/MD suburbs and no UHD. I wrote the Montgomery County office asking when they were going to add these stations and the response basically said that HD customers are a small percentage of their audience so it is currently not a high priority for them. In the meantime they've added about 10 stations that speak some form of forgotten Malasian Dialect. Thanks for the support of your customers who are willing to pay extra for HD! Also, the HD stations take several seconds to tune in lately. The screen says "Station will be available soon" and then eventually shows up. Looks like they are choking the bandwidth so we can be guarenteed that 11th station of Yeniseian we all so desparately want.
