NBA's Black Box opened and underwhelms

David Stern said its contents it will "change the way you see the game." We hoped it was something to do with how we watch the game. A bunch of new high-def cameras would nice but it was nothing like that. It's a new game ball. Wow. Sure does change the way we see the game. The lines on the ball do not wrap the ball anymore - shocking. Truthfully, we should have guessed it was a new game ball judging by the box but we were guess that we just wanted more.
Who else is a bit disappointed.

More HD cameras don't sell merchandise. I new designed ball does. Show me the money.
Maybe NBA players can finally start making a decent wage. ;)
Great, now it will be even tougher for me to attempt to spin the ball on my index finger.
I heard that it will allow the strikers to kick the ball from farther away and let them bend it a lot more... and goal keepers hate this new ball...

What's with changing the balls lately?
So, how does the new facelift on the basketball change how the game is played?
The new ball for FIFA improves kicks from far distances, but this is just... Weird.

The Ball that they were using before was leather. This is a composite and is the first major change to the ball in decades. It will change the way the game is played therefore changing the way we watch it.
It would have been nice if the box contained a team that wasn't covered in tattoos and attitude that participated in teamwork. That would change the way I watch the game because maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) I would actually watch this horrible sport. Is it college football season yet?
