It is only Bluray FUD that makes people think HD-DVD doesn't handle 1080P.

Neither player Samsung (Bluray) nor Toshiba (HD-DVD) outputs true 1080P output.

The Toshiba takes the 1080P24 on disk and interlaces it to 1080i60.

The Samsugn takes the 1080P24 on disk and interlaces it to 1080i60 then deinterlaces it to 1080P24. It is 1080P in marketing only.]]>Jul 26th 2006 12:02PM
