INHD2 gone from Comcast's Chicago line-up
Wow. A bunch of you must really love Tour-De-Gorge. We have had our tips line flooded with questions/comments about INHD2 dissapearing from their Comcast's programing guide. On second thought, you just might be excited that there is a chance HGTV might start showing up right? We don't think there is a high-def lover out there that wouldn't trade INHD2 for something else. It could be MHD (MTV), National Geographic high-def, or even one of those random Voom stations that Dish Network carries. Something though. All we are trying to say Comcast is that we like high-def programming, just not INHD2 that much. Right?
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

I'm not sure why Matt puts down INHD2 like that, because it was all HD all the time (very few stations are exclusively HD) and I enjoyed it more than INHD. ESPN, TNT, the major networks show HD in bits here and there. INHD2 was similar to Discovery HD. INHD is mostly sports. I do like the addition of MHD alot, but it just irks me that another HD channel is being yanked. Makes me think very seriously about moving to DISH.
StarzHD, Starz On Demand, EncoreHD, and Encore On Demand, and the NFL Network are ALL GONE in Los Angeles. TW is realy not making many friends in this town.
INHD2 was way better than INHD. I'm sad they got rid of INHD2 to make room. Ah well.
Assuming it won't be UHD or TMCHD or something, I guess I'm hoping for MHD. Nothing like 1080 lines of My Super Sweet 16.
MHD? Great, now MTV can ruin HD the same way they ruined SD programming.
I might actually like it if they showed concerts or music videos in HD, but I don't even like most of the music on there anymore. I must be getting old.
INHD and INHD2 were combined into one channel according to the message that was on my DVR from Comcast here in Chicago. The message also mentioned a blurb about HD HGTV. That my 2 cents.

INHD2 is gone in Denver also-replaced by TNTHD. I will give their original programming a try. I was hoping for HGTVHD or MHD. INHD2 was the same as INHD but would rather have that instead of ESPN2HD. Almost no hi def on that channel.
I doubt it will be MHD, we already have that on Comcast in Chicago. Probably will be UHD.
Maybe Comcast will get HDNet and HDNet movies. For now, I'll stay with WOW and its 20 channels of HD.
In order:
ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, UPN, PBS, WB, TNT, Discovery, ESPN, HDNet, HDNet Movies, WealthTV, NFL HD, HGTV, Food Network, Comcast SportsNet HD, HBO, Cinemax, and Starz.
And on Comcast Sportsnet HD, WOW added that VERY quietly. I don;t watch sports, but others in my house do, so they like that I found it by mistake. (One above precious FOOD NETWORK HD.)
Now WOW does have some macroblocking, but I can deal with it if that means 20 or more channels of HD. Besides, I get my locals via antenna.
For those who have mentioned MHD, be aware that it's *not* "MTV-HD". It combines music-related programming from MTV, VH1 and CMT. Not a lot that I actually listen to, but at least it's music-focused.
INHD2 is indeed going dark within the next 3 weeks - so it is not Comcast that is yanking the station (although they do have ownership stake in it with Time Warner and Cox). The programming from INHD2 will be blended into INHD to cut out the low rated programming and provide and very robust all-HD network. Comcast will be replacing the channel left vacant by INHD2 in all areas of the United States by TNT-HD, NBCU-HD or MHD, depending on the preference of the local market.
I have to say I would look forward to HDNet here in Chicago. I called Comcast and asked why they don't offer it and all I got was some mumbo jumbo abou Comcast is always looking into additioanl offerings...blah,blah,blah.
So, yeah National Geogrpahic in high-def would be very cool as well.
Comcast has put MHV in place of INHD2 here in Naples, FL. I prefer the music related programing over sports, I just hope MHV has the shows that would appeal to a middle aged, fifty's something rocker, after all we are the ones who most likely have the money to buy the high def gear and pay the extra for the digital, premium, high defenition channels in the first place.
I have TNTHD AND INHD2.
Does that mean I'll be getting a new station soon?! yay!
As a founder of Wealthtv,I just wanted to thank Kevin M. for your rating of Wealthtv. As a new network we appreciate your comments . The expressed opinions of viewers will help improve the quality of what is offered television viewers.
up yours robert herring!! how DARE you listen to what the consumer has to say, how dare you!!
but seriously, after reading your very breif wikipedia entry (which is still pretty sweet nonetheless!! Everytime I try to make a wiki entry about itself, it always gets deleted!!!! No matter how many wars i put down as "foughten in:", oh well) you seem very very cool. Especially that thing with Schaivo. But the real kicker is seeing "(tycoon)" next to your name, because whenever I see the word "tycoon", i think of Charles Bronson, or Max Storms, extreme rebel trillonare, so i'm guessing that you must've punched an elephant in the balls while he was in heat once in your life, right?
also, reading these comments is the first time i EVER heard about WealthTV, what is it?
