Sony releases Blu-Print Blu-ray authoring software
If you're interested in making Blu-ray discs like the big boys, Sony's own Blu-Print software is now available for the low, low price of $50,000 per license (there's also a 30-day free trial available if you really need a test-run first). Unfortunately they didn't note which codecs are available yet, but you can use the software to add all the BD-J interactive features and popup menus you could ever want. The software is Windows-only, and we're sure if spending $750 to $1000 or more on the necessary burner makes sense to you that this package is well within your price range.

Why is Sony the only voice i hear from the Blu-ray Disc camp? what about the other founding members like Philips, Panasonic or HP? what role {if any} they play on this besides been Sony's Bitches.
I agree wit hthat first comment. Blu-Ray belongs to a lot more companies than dows HD-DVD but we never hear about them. I hope that everyone else is not just sitting around and waiting to see how the rest of the year plays out before the stick their foot in the water. Are they afraid the market it too cold?
So would this package allow me to author disks using VC-1? If so hopefully someone will figure out how to author BlueRay movie titles using VC-1 and have them end up better looking then ones purchased at the store. However I am unsure where they would get access to a uncompressed source.
