The quality of HD-DVD is only better right now because of capacity and possibly because the Toshiba player is slightly better at rendering the image then the Samsung. I'll bet if you played the current Blu-ray titles in a pioneer elite player the difference in PQ would be reduced considerably. If Andy is correct and Sony will be releasing 2 titles on 50GB disks soon, then the PQ argument for HD-DVD will quickly go out the window. 2006 will be the year of HD-DVD, but I can't see how 2007 will be anything but a banner year for Blu-ray. Blu-ray will have more titles, more players, and better video quality. The price should be comparable by then as well.
