Food Network HD now on Dish Network
Somethings in life just makes you shake your head. Like how Dish Network just keeps on adding more and more high-def stations while DirecTV just added TNT-HD -- in February. Food Network is now officially broadcasting on Dish which brings their total high-def lineup to 30 stations. Some markets could have nearly 40 high-def stations coming into their dish once all the local stations are adding in and Dish Network could very well hit 31 stations if INHD materializes sometime soon. So where does this put DirecTV? They do have lots of football in HD thanks to their NFL Sunday Ticket but other then that...[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Now, like Emeril says, they need to add the Smell-o-vision.
Enjoy, this is a great channel.
I refer to Gaffigan:
Food Network is like porn. You only watch it if you're hungry. After you eat, you could care less. Also, its almost as embarassing when someone catches you watching it.
what are you doing?
nothing, just watching foodtv
well why are your pants down?
I can't say that I'm eagerly awaiting Food Ntwk HD. Yeah, I'm always down for more HD, but there's many many other things I'd rather see in HD before someone cooking.
Good Eats in HD? Bring it on!
Give Hayes a star.
If you've ever watched Giada's show, you already that it's not LIKE porn at all. ;)
(I've seen episodes of "Baywatch" with less cleavage!)
I can't wait for Food TV and HGTV to come to Comcast . My wife loves these channels and it would be 2 more things to help justify my purchase.
Hey Hayes were you watching Rachael Ray...I know whe maked me wanna take off my pants.....
Sorry Typo. Should Read : "I know she makes me wanna take off my pants....."
Any one know when Food TV and HGTV to come to Comcast?
I have to agree with SmittyX, once Comcast adds Food Network HD and eventually HGTV HD, then I have the excuse to buy a flat panel for the living room. After all, my wife almost exclusively watches HGTV, when not watching the 4 major networks.
Of course, I was lucky enough to convince the wife to let me buy a small CRT HD set for my 360 ;)
SmittyX, were your hands "multi-tasking" hence the typo? :)
In all seriousness, I flipped last night and saw how different (read: awesome) watching a cooking show on HD is. I'm more looking forward to food close-ups in competitions though... too much eye-candy.
Yup, Good Eats in HD will be so cool. I hope they shot the first 9 season on film so they could throw those in HD reruns.
airpolgas that's funny....no, unfortunately I was at work...no multitasking happening there.
Yeah. My original justification for my HDTV was the XBOX 360, YES HD and 24 on Fox. My wife loves that show. So these channels would definitely make it better.
Matt Burns, hate to nitpick, but you're making this mistake in post after post...
"They do have lots of football in HD thanks to their NFL Sunday Ticket but other then that..."
Other THAN that. "Then" and "than" are NOT interchangeable. Other then that? Makes no sense.
Quote airpolgas:
"I'm more looking forward to food close-ups in competitions though... too much eye-candy."
Iron Chef in Hi-Def would be absolutely great! :-D
Wow, just imagine a Hi-Def Rachael Ray!
Re: Marc
Haha... I can't tell you how long that has been making me mad for. I know there are bigger things in the world to worry about, but for us English folk, the butchery of our language makes me weep.
"My TV is better than yours"
"Were I to have your TV, then I would cry"
See how it works Matt?
