'Today' show going 1080i and we know what equipment they are using
This is for the high school video nerd in all of us. We already knew that the Today show is going high-def, but if you want the nittly-gritty details of their HD gear and technical stuff, DVguru has you covered. They have dug up all details including what cameras to the kind of software/hardware content servers to everything. Intresting enough, the show is going to be filmed in 1080i rather then Good Morning America's 720p. This may not be for everyone one, but if this is your sort of thing, check it out.[Via DVguru]

Good blog, I think that many people wrote comments in this theme.
well of course it's 1080i - it's on NBC, a 1080i network. The same goes for GMA, which is on ABC, a 720p network. I would hardly call this fact "interesting enough."
great, we can now see al roker's every pore on his face, blech
Hey Mike, lighten up and go do something productive.
The jerk store just called and they're running out of Mike.
What's the difference? Kevin's their all-time best seller.
Yes!!!
Not sure why the 1080i is "interesting". Most every HD channel out there is 1080i as it is. Very few are 720p. Perhaps you thought it was the other way around?
