Looking at the picture it appears they haven't changed at all, except the newer ones are black and the old ones are grey.
Also I don't believe the colour chanes, I have a number of Plasma's around teh house and actually the older ones tend to look better than the new ones (of the same resolution).
Besides, I'm surprised they even found a Plasma from the 90's that still works - I have around four of them sitting in my workshop awaiting PSU fixes that cost almost twice as much as a new plasma TV costs.
