For home automation the pricing isn't half bad. However there are components that don't make sense. $2400 for a 200 disc changer at first blush doesn't make sense. What home automation begs is a low cost Kalaidescape type system where data streams off of a hard drive. I may not fully realize the level of integration with the rest of the system however. Monster isn't exactly the company I like to support but Einstein is an interesting product. It'll be interesting to see how it stacks up against products from companies like Control4 and Netstreams.
