Tony Soprano isn't coming to HD DVD as soon as planned 'cause it looks like HBO has delayed the release. The Sopranos: Season 6
was all set hit the streets on November 7 as the first television series to drop on ether high-def format. There isn't any word on what is causing this delay and all we can do is over-speculate. Maybe HBO is waiting to release more then just Season 6 on HD DVD, or Blu-ray, and didn't want to start their high-def collection mid-series? Maybe? Honestly, we don't have any idea but when something else comes across the wires, we'll pass it onto you.
HD DVD sells more players and movies than BluRay. Samsung, Toshiba, LG, HP, Acer, Sanyo, NEC and others are making HD DVD players. GM, Ford and Mercedes will have HD DVD in their cars. HD DVD seems more like a better choice to me. And I plan on getting one this December.
Funny. Doesnt Samsung have a Blu-Ray player?
Doesnt NEC have a blu-ray PC? ( http://www.engadget.com/2006/10/05/nec-valuestar-x-vx780-gd-packs-blu-ray-and-liquid-cooling )
Doesnt SONY have almost 700 000 preorders of PS3 which is due to be released soon?
Come on, ed, we know that hd dvd is lost...
Funny thing is that LG, Samsung and HP where "strong blu ray supporters", yet they all have HD DVD players and PC equiped with it as well. Yes, I am still shock that NEC (one of the founders of HD DVD) now supports Blu Ray...however...have you heard that that reason why $ony delayed their Blu Ray player (for the third time) is cuz they making a hybrid HD DVD/Blu Ray player....and are you seriously going to watch movies on a ps3?
