I just hope that 1080i doesn’t die with it. Very few flat panels can handle it with out down converting. content providers just might notice that 90% of the market owns a 720p TV. 1080i looks much better on my CRT. If the networks try and save bandwidth and run everything at 720p, there will be no need for 1080i anymore.
