the $15.95 over basic cable is smoke and mirrors...
The $15.95 figure (plus $13 for basic) gets you a HD DVR, 16 SD channels and 5 local HD channels.
But to get all the HD channels including the 3 new ones, Insight requires you to upgrade to classic cable ($29 for 55 SD channels), the HD Pak ($7.95 for 5 national channels, and $12 digital pak (81 SD channels).
This racks up a total of $77.90. For a total of 8 National HDs, 5 Local HDs, and 152 SDs that I'll hardly ever watch.
Thats $51.90 over basic cable to get all of Insight's HD channels. Pretty riduculous.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
