So I have a huge DVD collection and have been on the fence for purchasing an XBox 360 w/ HD-DVD. WOuld I really want to get one of these and and XBox 360. Doesn't XBox upconvert? I would think that as long as Xbox upconversion is close to what this can do, the Xbox purchase is enough. Thoughts?
Eric, I wrote a review of the 360 HD DVD at Amazon. Bottom line, standard DVDs played back on the HD DVD at 480p look better than on the 720p upconverted Oppo 971 (not this model). If you use the 360 VGA cables, the upconversion looks even better.
