"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
Here in NYC, we have been listening to the "we don't have enough bandwidth, switched digital video is the answer" drone for quite a while now. AND we know that the software used here (Passport) is incompatible with SDV. HOWEVER, in the past month we have gotten 2 new HD channels and have had 2 part time ones become full time.
I suspect that SD on a HD channel (which they ALL do have) takes the same bandwidth as a real HD show as it is upconverted at the source.
PLUS, we first learned about the new HD channels because someone spotted a crawl on the weather channel. Someone now claims that same weather channel crawl is saying we'll get A&E HD.
BTW, the cable guys are NOT responsible for a lot of SD happening on HD channels, ya gotta complain to that channel, not TWC.
