Well, after much research, I bought a 50-inch Sony KDS50A2000 but was disappointed enough by the picture quality and rear-projection screen-door effect compared to an old Gateway Plasma that I returned it for a Pioneer PDP5070HD plasma and haven't regretted the decision one iota.
