The Xbox 360 upscales dvds through vga. Games can be upscaled via component cables and vga.
I have a 360 hooked up through VGA to my 1080i and I see NO upscaling at all...in fact, if I run it through my HD DVD player, I don't see any upscaling there either...hmmm, either my product is faulty, or M$ did a piss poor job on upscaling DVD. My PS3 looks a hell better via HDMI than my 360.
