Last I heard, TiVo was going to port its software onto the Comcast's Motorola cable/DVR boxes. I've grown pretty accustomed to those Motorola boxes since the $7 a month fee beats $600 plus TiVo subscription, even though the software sucks in comparison; sure would be nice to have TiVo software on there.

VJ

Comments on TiVo CEO promises lower-priced HD TiVo this year

Comcast DVR is $12/mo.

The Tivo software will be an extra charge, as well.

I agree the current s/w sucks balls, but unless they ALSO allow you to expand/upgrade the HDD I don't see myself sticking with it much longer (120MB isn't even 15 hrs of HD-TV).

Where are the effin dual-QAM tuners for Vista already?? Why quote MSRP? According to pricegrabber.com, you can have one in hand for $625. Most people pay $659 through Amazon.
