I think MS is required to provide open API's, they do, and everyone else's media players work flawlessly.
I don't think the problem is with MS for spoofing all of Apple's internet connections and sending them to a mirror site with bad API's. I think it's more like apple not fully implementing the API's in MSIE and Firefox so that peope like you will say "buy a mac".
