U-verse rolling into Kansas City

Kansas City residents: congrats. You are now among 15 small markets spread across the States with access to AT&T's IPTV service: U-verse. Nothing new to report about the service as it still offers 25 HD stations, fast Internet and a sweet user interface all coming at ya via the Internet pipes. We are sure AT&T will be throwing some enticing offers towards potential subscribers and so, in the words of a popular Comcast campaign, it could be time to 'ditch the dish' or cable for that matter.
I believe this is KS side only as MO hasn't passed the legislation to allow it.
Just remember what SBC (ahem, AT&T) said about signing up for this. If you do, all information belongs to them and they can do whatever they wish for it, including handing it over to the Feds in large volume.
That aside, go IPTV!
There are still lots of bugs and you can only stream one HD station at a time. That sucks since I currently DVR both 24 and Heroes through my dual tuner OTA HD setup. Plus, I don't pay anything for my OTA setup. The only thing that excites me is the possibility of naked DSL. Then I can ditch my landline. But price might be ridiculous
As I understand it, U-verse offers one HD feed at a time, so it isn't acceptable for a lot of applications. Makes DVRs pretty useless, too. Verizon's system is clearly superior. Since I live in a SBC area, I'll keep the dish, thank you.
