Don't forget Discovery's Planet Earth starts Sunday

Set those DVRs now for Planet Earth, Sunday night on Discovery HD Theater. Seriously, go; we'll wait... We know that you probably won't want to miss Desperate Housewives live and whatever other random stuff comes on Sunday night, but you are not going to want to miss the three hours of Planet Earth. This is a five-week special that is going to attempt to teach you almost everything Terra Firma has to offer. Sunday's first hour is going to take viewers "Pole to Pole" showing almost everything in between. Now like we said, this might be one of those programs that you save for a rainy day, but your HDTV will appreciate the amazing eye candy.

This series has been on CBC HD at least twice. Very nice. Should also look good on HD DVD.
Makes me wish I had Discovery HD. Too bad for me.

No it hasn't. And your other comment is completely wrong too. You are totally confused. This is a brand new show, due to air today. It has never ever ever been aired ever before, especially not twice in Canada, and especially not 6 months ago when they were probably still filming stuff.
This show has never been seen before. I don't know why you think it's been showed before, but it hasn't.
Let me repeat myself. IT HAS ALREADY AIRED TWICE IN CANADA. It is NOT A NEW SHOW. Before airing in Canada it aired on the BBC (It's a BBC production).

What the Hell is this b.s.? Discovery Channel hires Sigourney Weaver to replace Sir David Attenborough's BBC narration?!?!? WTF!?!?
Hey Discovery Channel - news flash, Sir David speaks English too, we can understand him - and he sounds much more interesting than Sigourney's flat, no-personal-involvement-in-the-script reading. Oh, and we don't like commercial interruptions either.
Thank God I had previously downloaded 1440x1080 DivX HD torrents of all 11 of the BBC broadcasts. Sheesh!
According to Amazon the HD DVD is narrated by Sir David Attenborough. Let's hope that's right.
Exactly, that's a damn insult to David Attenborough. It's almost as bad as the networks using closed captions when the interview Brits on the news.
Ya, this is an amazing show. It has been aired before and it looks to be coming out on hi-def discs here right after the mini series finishes up. It also appears that Attenborough is doing the narration for DVD/HD-DVD.
