"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
I am all for early adoption of technology, and usually am right in the middle of it, but I stayed out of this one ever since it started. For me its the most rediculous tech battle I have watched or cared about. I cant even believe they went ahead into retail this way. I have to say I kinda want to see HD-DVD on top because Sony pissed me off last time with the POS UMD format. Now when I hear the word format and Sony together I just cant help but close my wallet.
I wont spend a cent on it until one comes out on top and is adopted and the other bails. I am not sure if I represent a large percentage, but I dont buy movies anymore either. I used to buy movies every tuesday until the HD formats came out. And I wont.
Until then I get my HD on TV and "rent" HD movies on Xbox 360 Marketplace.
