DirecTV 1 - Time Warner Cable 1

You know those DirecTV ads featuring Doc Brown from the Back to the Future films that state DirecTV will soon have three times as many HD stations as cable. (if not, countinue through for the video) Time Warner Cable didn't like the last statement of the commercial spot so much so, that the cable operator took DirecTV to court - again. This is the second time Time Warner has turned to the legal system over a DirecTV ad. The first was for a DirecTV commercial claiming that their HD signal was better then cables - DirecTV was ordered to stop those ads in Time Warner markets. This time though, it didn't turn out the way Time Warner wanted as the judge ruled in favor of DirecTV thanks to the word "soon." Despite claims that cable systems can soon carry 200 HD stations, Time Warner didn't provide the court with enough data showing satellite couldn't, in theory, provide more HD stations "soon." Time will only tell if DirecTV will hold true in their claim of 100 HD stations by year end though and truth be told, that's all we care about.

It should be Direct 1 TWC ZERO
TWC;s issue is that it never, ever gives any kind of straight talk to it's customers. They keep as much as possible totally hidden. Latest example? In NYC, they deliver 3 MORE HD channels to one neighborhood, with about 5% of the city population with no explanation why the other 95% who pay the SAME amount don't get the same content.
Uh, you think DTV tells their customers anything? They don't announce until its delivered either. I'm a customer of TWC NYC and a former DTV HD customer. You should be happy with TWC. Its superior to DTV at this point in time.
IF these aren't announcements, what are they then?
Note to TW...shut up and DO something about it! who ever get their shit together will make a shit load of money people are WANTING HD content and more of it! either DO something about or get out of the way. If DTV gets what they are claiming I'll be switching over ASAP! I love HD content and want more of it the lack of content is a joke and competition is what will drive it. we(the public) need more companies like DTV forcing crap cable companies to do more and offer more in terms of HD
What I find amusing about DirecTV's Back to the Future ad is when the professor say "Soon they'll have 3 times the capacity of cable. Impossible? That's what they said about my Flux Capacitor."
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Flux Capacitor fictional and as far as we know, IMPOSSIBLE?
TWC Sucks, and I actually helped them deploy / debug their firewire-enabled cable box in my area!
Right now, as I type this, DirectTV has WAY more than 3x as many HDTV stations as TWC. It was a no-brainer on judge's part. If TWC wants to really keep their customers, they should ADD MORE HDTV STATIONS, and stop sueing DirectTV.
I sure as hell am about to jump ship... I'm just waiting for a slightly greater Blu-Ray/HD-DVD saturation.
Sheesh TWC... Get a clue.

I do not think any of the companies are honest, especially to its consumers. DirecTV doesn't provide HD, and claiming they have more than anyone else is FOS.
But, consumers should be abused since they are cows in the field allowing the abuse instead of forcing their politicians to put laws into place to keep themselves from being abused.
