Samsung rolls out Bluetooth-equipped "PAVV Cannes" plasma TV
It looks like Samsung has managed to squeeze a bit more than buzzwords into its "Cannes" line of plasma TVs, with the company adding some Bluetooth functionality to its new 50-inch model (the SPD-50P91FHD). According to Samsung, that makes this the world's first Bluetooth certified TV, letting you getting some additional use out of your wireless headset and printer (among other peripherals). The TV itself also looks to be impressive enough, boasting a full 1080p resolution and packing ACAP support for some two-way data broadcasting. Like the other sets in the line, this one's exclusive to the Korean market for the time being, where it'll set you back 4,300,000 won, or about $4,640.[Via AVING]

I have been expecting this for several years now. It will be good when I can come home from a day at the beach and put my BT camera down on the coffee table and just by connecting the two (TV and camera) I can show my wife the fun me and the kids had... and have my BT phone sitting with me while I am watching heroes and when a call comes through the TV auto asks if I want to take it or not. Stuff like that. technology is soooo behind what we need and want. sheesh.
Does full 1080p resolution mean that the resolution of the TV is 1920x1080 and not the typical 1024x768 or 1368x768 that current plasmas are?
That's exactly what full 1080p means... 1920x1080 pixel resolution. I'd love to see Full 1080p on a plasma display
I just wanted to say that the girl is hot :)
That's some good marketing...
Plenty of manufacturers are rolling out 1080p plasmas. I saw a 73"? LG display in the store the other day. I believe there are some 50" -or so- models also available.
Wireless headset and printer?
I wish we'd see wireless a/v interconnect, instead of printer and headphones. No more wires, between components, would be ideal. I guess, I should say 'will' be, whenever that day arrives.
Samsung has another series of sets that feature Bluetooth as well. Their new HLT (XX87/89S) LED DLP line.
