Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
because you're betting that pioneer will update the player's firmware to support the forthcoming features, i guess . . . lack of HDMI 1.3 isn't a big deal, but the question of whether a BD player released now will ever support the interactive content coming later this year is relevant.

Yeah, but it's already been confirmed that the problems aren't software, but instead are hardware - current BD players being released don't have the hardware to do PIP and other things that the final spec will require. Maybe this player does, nobody knows, but I wouldn't bank on it.
