"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
Has anybody else noticed that Toshiba has been the only one selling stand alone HD DVD players and have been beating BluRay players 10 to 1? Imagine if $ony were the only one selling Bluray players do you think this "format war" would still be going on?
I haven't noticed HD DVD players outselling BD players 10:1. The PS3 isn't doing well for a game console, but it's doing very well for a next-gen movie player.
And $ony? How old are you?
Well, HD DVD may well be outselling BD stand-alones 10-1 (or worse of late), but that rather ignores the PS3s which have outsold all stand-alones by another 10-1, due to the massive initial surge.
The true answer is that if the PS3 didn't exist the format war would be over. But the PS3 does exist.
HD DVD, to win, must rapidly increase the number of units sold (including xbox units), while hoping that PS3 sales continue to drop. The jury is expected to be out until January.
